Values Programme

  • Rationale
In order to promote global citizenship it is important to develop and acknowledge a range of values that are important to our community.

    Programme
  1. Values such as Determination, Enthusiasm, Patience, Creativity, Respect, Reliability, Honesty, Kindness and Responsibility will be modelled by teachers at all times. They will be discussed, encouraged and valued as part of the classroom programme and they will be promoted in the playground.
  2. A group of senior students from the Assembly and Values Committee will work with the teacher responsible for that committee. They will meet regularly and take responsibility for teaching the school about values during the school assembly.
    3. Feedback and support will be given to students to encourage them to make positive choices. Certificates will be awarded to students in assembly to celebrate the different values. The names of these students will be published in the weekly newsletter under the heading ‘Stars of the Week’.
